CB/antenna mount in my 60
Soon after I got my 60, I decided to install a CB radio. I didn't have
a lot of time to install it, so I went for the easy route. I removed the cup
holders on the center console, drilled a couple of holes, and bolted it in. No
sweat...1/2 banana job at most. Running the antenna cable to the back bumper
was the most time consuming part of the job. After going on a few runs, I
decided that the rear bumper isn't the best place to mount the antenna. I'm
now using a magnetic mount antenna which I put up on the roof. Much better
reception. Once I get my front bumper built, I'll move the antenna there. I
spliced the power lead into the fuse box, to an always hot connection. If you
have any questions, plz let me know!
